The bed and breakfast "Via del Castello, 4" is located in a Sixteenth Century palace, recently restored. It's in the old center of this nice medieval village, in a panoramic position nearby the castle.
We are in the heart of Abruzzo mountains, Marsica region, among Mount Velino (2.489 meters, behind the village), the National Park of Abruzzo and Simbruini mountains.
It's only one hour from Rome, and it's 3 km from motorway A25 exit "Magliano de' Marsi"; there's also a railway station "Scurcola" on the way Roma-Pescara.
We have here 3 rooms. One room have it's own bathroom, the other two share a common bathroom. The restoration work was in 2005, and it's a conservative one, to bring out the history of the ancient building and the style and the way of life of old traditional Abruzzo's houses (for example the mattresses are made of wool, as in the sheperd's tradition), but without loosing confort.

One room is a studio, with private bathroom and cooking place.

HOW TO ARRIVE
From the motorway A25 exit "Magliano de' Marsi" follow Tiburtina roadand after 2 km you'll reach Scurcola Marsicana. From the main square on Tiburtina road, take the road on the right after the chemist's shop, you'll go after postal office, reach a roundabout, take right. Now you go up towards the castle, first on Via della Vittoria, then on Via Luigi Di Giacomo. Before the Door (ancient Porta Cantalupo) park your car. After the Door, the green main door is the bed&breakfast.

By train there's the Scurcola Marsicana railway station on the way Roma-Pescara. Timetable: see here .
